The Story Behind the Systems
I tried a few careers on for size before I found my entrepreneurial path. I was an instructor for the U.S. Army, worked in tech (shoutout to Yahoo!), and taught high school Special Education. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew it had to involve helping people—because that’s always been the through line.
It was the soft skills that carried me from one role to the next. No matter the job title, a few things stayed true: I never backed down from hard conversations, and I learned how to read a room, manage chaos, and find calm in the middle of absolute mess.
My current work looks a little like this:
Founded Contained Madness in 2013. What started as organizing homes became helping women reclaim their calendars, confidence, and capacity for joy. I grew it into a multi-city, six-figure business by being real, sharing my story, and meeting people exactly where they were.
Certified ADHD & Executive Function Coach
Professional Organizer (Specialty: Hoarding Behaviors + Chronic Disorganization)

Aurora Chapter Leader, Women Entrepreneurs Secrets of Success (WESOS)
Budding author, working on my first book: part memoir, part practical guide for women who are done trying to organize their lives into Pinterest perfection
And on the personal side of things:
Married to a man I call my foreverboyfriend. Even in the mess of everyday life, we still make time for dates.
Mom to a 22-year-old who still answers my FaceTime Calls.
We believe in slow mornings, game nights, and using the fancy plates on a random Tuesday.
I host soup nights and Taco Tuesdays.
I overdecorate for the holidays.
I challenge anyone foolish enough to play Cards Against Humanity with me. (Undisputed champion, three years running.)
I love football. All sports ball, really. I make epic snacks and architect entire weekends around kickoff times.
I quilt.
I talk to my cats like they’re coworkers.
I believe feeding people is a love language. Charcuterie is a legitimate art form.
I’m in love with life. In love with adventure. In love with creating moments that make the hard parts feel worth it.
This is my story.
